Services Of The Funeral Director and Staff
This fee for our basic services and overhead will be added to the total cost of the funeral arrangements you select. (This fee is already included in our charges for direct cremations, immediate burials, forwarding or receiving remains.) This includes the following:
- Covers overhead, such as facility maintenance, equipment, and inventory costs, insurance, and administrative expenses, and governmental compliance.
- Personnel available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to respond to initial call.
- Clerical assistance in the completion of various forms associated with a funeral.
- Arrangement Conference.
- Coordinating service plans with cemetery, crematory, and/or other parties involved in the final disposition of the deceased.
- Optional Tribute DVD slideshow to music can be created to include 50 pictures. Copies available (attention: additional fee for pre-arranged services prior to February 20, 2007)
Except in certain cases, embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funeral arrangements, such as a funeral with a viewing. If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not require you to pay for it, such as direct cremation or immediate burial. Embalming may include restoration (where necessary). Other preparation of the body (when not embalmed) may include bathing and handling, dressing and casketing, and/or Cosmetics/ Hairdressing.
Use of Facilities and Staff Services for Visitation
Our services include setup of visitation area, placement of encased remains, display of floral arrangements, supervision of and attendance during the visitation. Includes four hours of visitation.
Use of Facilities and Staff for Funeral Service in Our Chapel or other facility.
Our services include coordinating the funeral arrangements, supervision of funeral, displays of floral arrangements and staff to assist with funeral ceremony.
Transportation of deceased
Transportation from place of death to mortuary (within 25-mile radius) Additional fee for longer distance.
Service vehicles
(e.g. lead car/death certificate car/flower car (within 25-mile radius) Additional fee for longer distance.
